LANDSCAPE LOST, LANDSCAPE FOUND
2000

In this way, Wanda Benatti seeks to join together her being an artist and the maternal, feminine infinity. Then she seeks, wandering through colors and underground signs immersed in the existential magma of one who is attracted to the dimension of the origin and tries different paths to reach the clearing—Heidegger’s “lichtung,” the suddenly free and open space in the woods of life, where the light falls, illuminating the real traces of the soul that makes itself be.
The clearing as the middle way, the Taoist “way of the sky,” through which the reality that is always in harmony with the infinite never stops passing. It is the sense of an inner landscape that, throwing every traditional perspective into disorder, substitutes truth.
